A healthy diet involves making sensible daily selections from each of the main food groups; carbohydrates, proteins and fat. Weight problems can occur when eating too much of the wrong foods. Eating too little food can cause deficiencies in vital nutrients, vitamins and minerals which can lead to illness and disease.

The best way to maintain your health is to eat a balanced diet and exercise regularly.

Below are product categories that feature in our store, we have outlined their meaning:

  • Fibre Source – Food which is an important part of our diet where we should eat between 20g – 25g of fibre a day in order to keep our digestive system functioning well. A food containing 6g of fibre per 100g is said to be high in fibre, whilst a food with 3g of fibre is said to be a good source.
  • Low fat – A low fat food source is described in law as being less than 3g of fat per 100g. However low in fat does not necessarily mean that it is low in calories.
