About Plastic Free Catering

The idea for Plastic Free Catering came about in late 2018 when cousins May and Rosy decided to join forces and create a new catering company. Both women had increasingly noticed the huge amount of waste created by the hospitality industry. Not just items such as plastic straws and disposable cups that customers take away with them, but all the food at the point of entry where deliveries arrive in masses of unnecessary single-use plastic packaging. That’s where Plastic Free Catering was born, with both May and Rosy wanting to create a totally new concept – catering with a conscience. Imagine being able to order delicious homemade food for any event and knowing that zero plastic has been used in the whole process!

Because nothing tastes as good as a clean conscience…

We use homemade wax wraps to preserve food and source all our produce in non-plastic packaging from local suppliers where possible. All food waste is recycled on our allotment and all our paper and cardboard is recycled. All our food is served on proper crockery and with metal cutlery if needed. We use local suppliers as much as possible to cut down on food miles and all our menus have been carefully designed so that we can prepare everything without the use of plastic. We look forward to feeding you!
